Celestial Wings of Prayer

When we are born our parents pray
For all blessings from God above
and Angels to guide us not let us stray
Then we are baptized and sin forgiven

We are taught our Guardian Angels prayer
Kneel at bedside fold our hands in silence
Open our spirit guide us to share
Ask Our Lord and Angels for protection

Learn our lessons at school and church
Enjoy each day as time goes fast
Read our Bible for truth we search
Do what’s good and don’t regret

We send celestial wings of prayer
On Angels wings their Heaven sent
Telling the devil now don’t you dare
Believing the gospel and sing with joy

Some receive confirmation of our faith
and have a sponsor for whom we care
Refresh our ideas and rejuvenate
They guide us with celestial wings of prayer

Some marry; others chose a career or both
Having children now their turn to teach
We’re on our way and have some growth
Abiding all along on wings of prayer

Trusting our Savior lifelong through
Endless learning as we grow
Keeping God’s laws and truth pursue
Believing on celestial wings of prayer
