Last Rays They lived near the waters edge Many pictures of the setting sun A gentle breeze from the heat of the day Sharing moments with their loved one Reminiscing at home of pictures past Enjoying each others moments in time Many pictures throughout the years Rays of the setting sun are so sublime Sitting out on moonlit nights Listening to the soft Earth tones Of quiet and peace unlike the day We feel the quiet we own We all have possession of Earths beauty Watch in awe on a starlit night If lucky we may see a shooting star Upon a darkened sky it looks so bright Enjoy each moment, as they never return Being in the present and live each day As we may not ever see another Brings humility and takes fear away © Joyce Ann Geyer 2007 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
