When we met, God had plans for you and me
We just didn’t know it at the time
As we met on different occasions
I knew that you would be mine


I felt peace and comfort I had not known before
We talked and laughed and had fun together
We were invited to a Chapel and accepted Jesus
as our Personal Savior
And we knew we’d separate never


Our love is like a flowing river each and every day
Smooth, loving and you are so kind and gentle
To wake to your kisses on my face is quite a thrill
You are a peaceful man and never judgmental

This to you David my lifetime soul mate I dedicate
I love my life because you are here with me
Thirty-four years we’ve know each other
And still people ask did we just meet?

I will always Praise The Lord for you!
