Family and friends arrive as the snow does subside
Warming by the fireside admiration of Jesus birth
It’s that time of year we all look forward to
A time for renewing our faith and realize its worth
Children playing, adults talking; a wonderful gathering
Visiting and listening to Santa’s Stories being told
Cookies baking the scent of Gingerbread men
Children are mannerly and on their best behavior very controlled
Aunt Janice arrived from out of town; all so happy she was there
Susie has a pretty red velvet dress, and brother Jim in his suit with a vest
Candy canes, cracking nuts, toasting with eggnog
Everyone is dressed in there Holiday best
Boys are playing with the train and a smoking engine
Girls brought their dollies to show off how they are dressed
Festivities, it’s that time of year
Everyone so happy we all feel so blessed
