We sat on our balcony on a starlit night
Words he said to me did excite
He named a star just for me
And said;
“If you look close your name lights up as if on a marquee”

Candlelight reflected in his eyes, one flame so bright
I felt like a school girl my heart took flight
He asked me to close my eyes and have no concern
To make a wish, and he’d quickly return

He spoke softly, words so tender to my heart
A scent of roses before the words could depart
As I opened my eyes red roses stood tall in a crystal vase
In loves embrace tears of joy flowed down my face

I am the luckiest woman alive with a love so true
I replied in a whisper “I love you, and thank you!”
As we sat on our balcony on a starlit night
Words of romance flowed, and everything felt so right

Even now after many years we have romance and candlelight
We sat and chatted of dreams that came true until daylight
God blessed us with love, togetherness and much respect
Pictures and memories and many times to reflect

A warm summer night 2005

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace
long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such there
is no law.
