God blessed us with changing seasons
For everything under the sun has a reason
Cooler weather, falling leaves, harvest time
Seasons bring a rhythm to God’s rhyme
We harvest our vegetables, fruits and grains
For the long winter ahead, and the soil retains
Moisture, so all will bring forth anew in spring
We stock up, and watch our purse strings
Baking apple pies, and drinking apple cider
Putting away summer chairs and the glider
Drying flowers for winter bouquets
Singing songs and giving praise
A bountiful harvest a time to share
Thanksgiving time we prepare
With family and friends we hold so dear
With whom we appreciate and are sincere
Enjoy this season colors of crimson and gold
Change our closets, and wear sweaters when we’re cold
Warm us and gather round the crackling fire
Say our prayers to Jesus whom we admire
