Memories of long ago seem to linger
While I dream of times past
Meeting you was my special day
I treasure the moments while they last
All those wonderful weekends and
Fridays are always ours
Drifting thoughts of you as I sleep
I love all the moments and hours
Walking hand in hand I feel unique
All of our travels, parties and events
Thoughts and memories I am so fond of
Many special days of your presence
A necklace with a small golden envelope
And when I opened it said “I Love You”
Many times and words replay in my mind
We’ve had many walks in parks and the zoo
People we talked with asked, “Just married?”
Ballroom dances I treasure the most
Everyone circled us as we danced
It’s when you held me so close
Watching the ships come in on the waterfront
A breeze cooling those hot summer days
Beach parties, boating and fun in the sun
Going out of town to see the latest plays
Precious moments of love you and me
Forever linger in my memory
Humor and charm make you my prince
Secure and serene are my certainty
