Just A Painting

A scenic painting on my wall

Mountains far off and seem so small

Trees of Autumn branches almost bare

River so blue so refreshing to view

Red, orange, brown and purple

Against a sky of blue

This painting gives me a feeling of solitude

Reveals serenity and attributes a mood

Colors surreal an artist painted

When I’m alone and in my room

I often stare and pretend I am there
