Sunny beach by day swimming and so much fun Sun bathing for that perfect tan Our day had just begun Just us two we had the perfect plan Lunch time mid afternoon umbrella to block the sun Takes away the bright hot suns glare Cold ice tea with salads I call you honey bun Drinking from fancy glasses of stemware Picnic party made just for two Back to the water floating on our boogie boards I feel so safe when I’m with you Lots of fun are our rewards Back out of the water we play Frisbee when another couple asks to play We still feel cool our suits still wet It’s always welcome to make another friend even if for just a day God’s warming sun it doesn’t take long to sweat We walk the beach for twigs for an evening bon fire Linda and Ken ask if they may stay A beautiful sunset reflects on the water we so admire They are welcome we roast marshmallows and had a great day © Joyce Ann Geyer Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
