Touch Of Spring

To wake upon the Robin’s song
and raise my shades to see the sun
Oh yes, this is where I belong
and see the Robin’s nest

Dressed and first coffee of the day
Relaxing on my patio warming from the sun
I meditate and ask Gods will as I pray
Nature budding all around me grass so green

Small furry creatures scamper all about
Not noticing me as I am still
Searching for food tugging on a sprout
Fine lines are etched in the sky

Gorgeous pink tulips and lily of the valley
Edged our patio in vibrant pink and white
Fine fragrant scent; make a grand finale
Robins pulling worms; hearing their babies cry

Daydreaming and making pictures out of clouds
Remembering when I was young and couldn’t wait to grow up
Avoiding people and shopping crowds
Laughing at the thought as no one wants to turn gray

Fresh spring air as after a fresh rain
My neighbor joins me a welcomed surprise
A distance faint sound of a train
Our conversation starts, a new day begins

For it is by grace you have been saved, through
Faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of
GOD - not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2: 8 - 9
