Memorial Day

Those who served today
And those who have served yesterday
We owe them a tribute
That could never be repaid

What we can do is carry on
As they would have us do
We may never be called to battle
But we should be ready if needed

For this country will never stay strong
Without strong hearts to stay it’s course
We help our countries cause with prayer
God gave us the words of prayer

Our country was founded
With these words Our Master gave us
Many men and women went before us
Many tears were shed for them

Let us use the prayers we know
To help put an end to this horrid war
May God help them sleep tonight
And have God’s grace when they awake
